Holdings

She held 1/2 manor of Coombe Keynes in her demesne as of fee of the king in chief by service of 1/6 knight’s fee. By her charter dated at Herburi, 15 January 1419 and shown to the jurors, she gave to John Brantyngham for life an annual rent of 53s. 4d. from the moiety at Lady Day and Michaelmas in equal portions. If the rent were to be in arrears either in part or in full by 15 days then he could distrain in the moiety and retain these distraints in his possession until the rent with any arrears be satisfied. The 1/2 manor is worth nothing yearly above this sum of 4 marks and other charges arising from the moiety.

She died on 8 September last. Katherine who was the wife of William Hathewyke is her daughter and next heir, aged 30 years and more at Alice’s death.
