Roger Barkere , 60, was there when she was baptised by Sir William Hardy, rector . William Randolf , 54, held a lit candle at the baptism. John Dobbys , 63, and Thomas Bret , 54, came to church to hear mass and met Margaret Merwyn , midwife of Margery mother of Elizabeth, carrying Elizabeth to the church for baptism. Nicholas Stampard , 36, William Fleccher , 60, and William Merlond , 40, were standing in the churchyard and looking at the masons who were building the campanile when Elizabeth was baptised.
