He held the manor of Shorne at farm for life with remainder to Arnold his son and Katherine his wife for their lives and his own right heirs by the grant of Thomas Wodegate and Roger Style by charter made with royal licence; both charter and letters patent were shown to the jurors. It is held by the service of carrying with other tenants a white banner towards Scotland for 40 days. He held the manor of Bobbing in his demesne as of fee. There are the site, annual value nil, 120 a. arable at 6d., 60 a. pasture at 3d., 70 a. wood of which 10 may be cut each year, then 4s., rents of £10 at the 4 terms, 70 hens and 12 cocks at 3d. at Christmas, 1,000 eggs at 6d. the 100 at Easter, and 120 quarters of palm barley at Michaelmas at 3d. the quarter, and perquisites of court 6s.8d. Margery widow of John de Nerford takes £6 13s.4d. for life from the manor by the grant of Arnold. It is held of the manor of Milton in gavelkind by a rent of 52s. and suit of court at Milton twice yearly after Michaelmas and Easter.

He also held in his demesne as of fee 2 watermills called ‘Southmelle’, annual value 100s., and ‘Pynewyghill mill’, annual value 40s., of the manor of Milton in gavelkind by a rent of 5s. and 200 sheep [at?, ms. altered] 10d..

Jointly with Joan his wife, who survives him, he held the manors of Helmes, Funton and Kemsley by the grant of John Barler, rector of Westwell , William Colier, vicar of Milton , Henry Wille, vicar of …dringham , and Thomas Godwot, clerk , to hold to them for his life with remainder to Arnold Savage his son. They are held of the manor of Milton by gavelkind by a rent of 6s.8d., annual value £20.

He died on 29 Nov. last . Arnold his son and heir is aged 28 years and more.
