Holdings
He held no lands or tenements of the king in chief or of any other as of free tenement, in demesne or in service, or in fee. Long before his death he granted all his lands, tenements, rents, reversions, and services in Fockerby, Adlingfleet, Eastoft, and Selby to Ralph Babthorp, esquire , Robert Sheffeld, esquire , William Egmanton, clerk , John Threpland, vicar of the church of Haxey , and Richard Pyrle , now deceased, and their heirs and assigns, so that they were seised therein. In the charter, dated 1 September 1438, and shown to the jurors, he was described as Henry Egmanton of Fockerby, esquire ; William was described as William Egmanton, clerk , his brother, and Richard was described as Richard Pyrle, vicar of Adlingfleet . The grant and acquisition were pardoned to Ralph, Robert, William, John, and Richard by letters patent of Henry VI, shown to the jurors, dated at Westminster, 26 June 1446 [not found].
He died on 24 November 1445. Thomas is his son and next heir, aged 18 and more.
