Holdings
He held no lands or tenements in demesne as of fee or in service of the king in chief or of any other. Long before his death, John Boys , John son of William Doreward , Richard de la Panetrye , John Weston , John Quynyld , and Luke Vynter were seised of the following in demesne as of fee. They granted the manor, by charter shown to the jurors, to John at Lee, knight , and Joan his wife, and the heirs of their bodies, with remainder to the right heirs of Joan. John and Joan were seised in demesne as of fee tail. They had issue: Margery and Joan, and died seised by virtue of the grant. Margery married Robert Newport . They had issue: William Newport , and died. Joan married John Barley . They had issue: John Barley , named in the writ, and died. After their deaths, when the manors, lands, and tenements of John at Lee and Joan were divided (participata) between John Barley and William Newport, the manor was assigned to John and the heirs of his body to hold in severalty.
He died on 12 February last. Henry Barley is his son and next heir, aged 24 and more.

Long before his death, John Fray , John Perneys , and Robert Warnere were seised of the following in demesne as of fee. They granted the manor, by charter shown to the jurors, to William Rokesburgh and John Kyrkeby , now deceased, John Barley , named in the writ, and Henry Langeley and Katherine, late wife of John Barley , who survive, and their heirs and assigns. William, John, John, Katherine, and Henry were seised in demesne as of fee, and John died seised of such estate and no other, jointly with Katherine and Henry.
