Holdings
He held no lands or tenements of the king in chief in demesne or in service. One Walter de Chaundos was lately seised of the following in demesne as of fee, which he granted to Roger Chaundos and the heirs of his body, so that Roger was seised in demesne as of fee tail. He died seised of such estate. After his death the manor descended to Thomas Chaundos as son and heir of Roger, by form of the grant. Thomas was seised in demesne as of fee tail and had issue: John Chaundos , and Elizabeth, and died seised of such estate. After his death the manor descended to this John Chaundos , named in the writ, as son and heir by form of the grant, and he was seised in demesne as of fee tail. John Cornewaill, knight , John Goldyngton , Robert Sireston , John Swaynescombe , n137 John Chaunsy , and Robert Kendale entered on the possession of John Chaundos , expelled him from the manor, and disseised him. They continued their possession during the whole life of John Chaundos and received all the issues of the manor from his death until 7 November 1443, and on that day. From then until the taking of this inquisition Henry, duke of Warwick received the issues.
Fownhope, the manor, annual value £20, held of William Mountfort, knight , of the manor of Snodhill, by knight service.

He died without heir of his body on 16 December 1428. Giles Brugge and Robert Mattesdon are his kin and next heirs. Giles, the son of Alice, one of the daughters of Elizabeth, sister of John, is aged 40 and more. Robert, the son of Margaret, another daughter of Elizabeth, is aged 30 and more.
