Joan Beauchamp , late lady Abergavenny, Philip Morgon, late bishop of Ely , John Bathe, clerk , and Bartholomew Brokesby, esquire , were lately seised of the following in demesne as of fee. They demised the same to Thomas Harewell , Roger Harewell , Richard Harewell, clerk , and Edmund Scarlet , now deceased, and William Wollashull , who survives, for the term of Thomas’s life, saving the reversion to themselves and their heirs and assigns. Thomas and the others were seised in demesne as of free tenement. Afterwards by indenture Joan and the others granted the reversion of the lordship and manors to Thomas, earl of Salisbury , Richard Hastynges, knight , William Scarlet , and Baldwin Bugge , now deceased, and James, earl of Ormond , John Sutton, knight , Thomas Rempston, knight , John Salveyn, knight , Robert Darcy , Henry Felongley , William Neuport, clerk , and John Massy , who survive, and their heirs and assigns. One part of the indenture, with the seals of Joan and the others, was shown to the jurors. By virtue of this grant Thomas Harewell and the others attorned themselves to the earl of Salisbury , Richard Hastynges , John Salveyn , William Scarlet , Baldwin Bugge , the earl of Ormond, John Sutton , Thomas Rempston , Robert Darcy , Henry Felongley , William Neuport , and John Massy . The lordship and manors ought to remain to the earl of Ormond, Richard Hastynges , John Salveyn , William Scarlet , Baldwin Bugge , John Sutton , Thomas Rempston , Robert, Henry, William Neuport , and John Massy [sic].
