Henry de Grey, lord Codnor , was once seised of the following in demesne as of fee. By deed shown to the jurors he granted the manor and advowson – described as the manor of Barton-le-Street with the advowson of the same – to Nicholas Grey , his son, and the heirs of his body without any withholding. Nicholas was seised by form of the grant and died seised of such estate. He had issue: Edmund, his son and heir, who was seised by form of the grant and died seised of such estate. He had issue: Edmund his son and heir, who was seised by form of the grant and died seised of such estate. He had issue: Thomas, named in the writ, his son and heir, who was seised by form of the grant and died seised of such estate.
Barton-le-Street, the manor, annual value 100s. and no more, held of the king as 1/10 knight’s fee, and the advowson of the church of the manor.

He died on 29 May last. Ralph Grey is his son and next heir by form of the grant, and is aged 23 and more.
