He held the following to him and the heirs of his body by grant of John Leyston his father.
Wade Hall, the manor with appurtenances in Leiston, Theberton, Middleton, Fordley, Aldringham, Knodishall, Buxlow, and Friston, annual value 20 marks. Neither the manor nor any parcel of the same is held of the king , but of whom it is held and by what service is unknown.
He died on 10 August 1365. William Jenney , Joan Puttok , Margaret Codon , and Joan Roughhed are his kin and next heirs. William is the son of Maud, lately wife of John Jenney , one of the daughters of John Bokele , and Joan Puttok is the other daughter of John Bokele son of William Bokele son of Margery, who was wife of John Bokele, senior , one of the daughters of William Leyston ; and Margaret Codon and Joan Roughhed are daughters of William Bokele of Leiston son of Joan, who was wife of Richard Bokele , the other daughter of William Leyston . William Jenney is aged 22 years and more; Joan Puttok is aged 40 years and more; Margaret is aged 40 years and more; and Joan Roughhed is aged 30 years and more.
Clement, abbot of Leiston , and his predecessors occupied the manor and took the issues from William’s death until now. Their title, right and manner are unknown.
