Inquire after the lands held by curtesy after the death of Alice his wife from the inheritance of Elizabeth, wife of John Curteys , and Emma, wife of John Squyry , daughters and heirs of Alice.

Holdings
He did not hold any lands or tenements by curtesy after the death of Alice his wife from the inheritance of Elizabeth, wife of John Curteys , and Emma, wife of John Squyry , daughters and heirs of Alice. But he formerly held the following messuages, lands, etc., by curtesy for life from their inheritance after Alice’s death, and by an indented charter dated on 1 July 1428, shown to the jurors, he demised all this lifetime estate which he had in them to John Curteys , by the name of all lands, tenements, rents and services which belonged to Thomas Lathe, esquire , and Alice his wife in Norfolk, reversion after John Cavendissh ’s death to Elizabeth and Emma.
Bishop’s Lynn, a messuage and 6 cottages, true annual value 6s. 8d. and no more because ruinous, held of the king in chief as 1/50 knight’s fee.
Stradsett, Crimplesham and Fincham, 3 messuages and 40 a. land, with a close called ‘Hillyngtones’, annual value 20s., the messuages and land held of the king as of his honour of Wormegay by service of one clove yearly for all service and secular demands, payable at Christmas, and the said manor [sic] called ‘Hillyngtones’, held of Eleanor, countess of Arundel , service unknown.
He died on 28 September 1435. Elizabeth, wife of John Curteys , and Emma, wife of John Squyry , are Alice’s daughters and next heirs, aged 30 years and more and 29 years and more, respectively.
