[Dorse:] I, John Selby , certify that Robert Broke did not hold lands which could be taken into the king’s hand, but, by virtue of this writ, I took into the king’s hand the £3 9s. 5 1/4d. specified in the attached inquisition.

Holdings
He died seised of
an annuity of £3 9s. 5 1/4d. taken from the farm of the city of Canterbury by the hands of the bailiffs and citizens, held of the king in chief by fealty only. Of this sum, 23s. 1 3/4d. is paid at Easter and the other 46s. 3 1/2d. is paid at Michaelmas.
This is his purparty of the £30 annuity granted to William, son of John Cundy , and his heirs by letters patent of ‪ Edward III [CPR 1354–58, p. 326], shown to the jurors, in recompense for the bailiwick of the vill of Sandwich, Robert being his relative and one of his heirs, viz., son of Joan, daughter of Robert, son of Margaret one of the daughters and heirs of Constance, one of the sisters and heirs of the said William, son of John Cundy .

He died on 25 October last. John Broke , his brother and next heir, is aged five years and more.
