He did not hold lands or tenements in demesne or in service, but he was at one time seised of the following in demesne as of fee, which he granted to William Cheyne, knight , John Frank, clerk , John Mulso , Geoffrey Motte, clerk , John Aston , and John Halle and William Halle , the latter two now deceased, to them and their heirs. The said feoffees were thus seised in demesne as of fee and they continued to be seised until Thomas went overseas, where he died on 2 August 1435. The king’s licence was not obtained for the grant.
Barton St John, the manor, annual value 40 marks from assize rent, payable at Michaelmas, Christmas, Easter and Midsummer, held of the king in chief as 1/6 knight’s fee.
Chalgrove, 1/4 manor, annual value £6, held of Katherine, queen of England of the honour of St Valery as 1/6 knight’s fee.
Elizabeth, Eleanor and Edith are his daughters and next heirs, aged 14 years, 13 years and 12 years and more, respectively.
