Regarding his inheritance as son and heir of Hugh Ryghtwys of South Burlingham who held in chief of the king.

John Pepir , 50 years and more, sworn and diligently examined about the age of John, son of Hugh, swears that he was born at South Burlingham, baptised in the church of St Edmund the King and Martyr in the same vill, and was 21 years of age on 6 January last. He knows because, on the day that John, son of Hugh, was born, Adam Blak, chaplain , celebrated his first mass after being received into the priesthood. He thus well recollects that John, son of Hugh, was the said age on 6 January. John Rothe , 56 years and more, knows because Nicholas his father was buried in South Burlingham churchyard. John Tytelowe , 46 years and more, knows because such a wind blew up that the belfry of Cawston fell to the ground. Richard Spademan , 50 years and more, carried a basin and ewer to the church and gave water to John’s godfathers and godmother. John Hendy , 56 years, knows because Henry Coffe , kin of John, son of Hugh, was born. Thomas Hollere , 49 years and more, was sent to Acle for Richard Prat, chaplain , to come and baptise John, son of Hugh. John Hardyngham , 60 years and more, knows because Richard Hardyngham, chaplain , brother of John, held the book at the door of the church during the baptism of John, son of Hugh. John Deynes , 46 years and more, knows because John his son was born on the day that John, son of Hugh, was baptised. John Kydman , 54 years and more, carried a burning torch to the church in front of John, son of Hugh, on the day that John, son of Hugh, was born. John Mome , 48 years and more, knows because Cecily, daughter of John Norton , married Henry Holt . Robert Reder , 58 years and more, married Agnes on the Monday before the birth of John, son of Hugh [1 January 1414]. Bartholomew Eston , 45 years and more, knows because Joan his wife was midwife at the birth of John, son of Hugh, and carried him to the church for baptism.
