Holdings
He held the following in his demesne as of fee jointly with Margaret his wife, still living, by grant of John Harries , Nicholas Crekkelade , and Roger Stonham, clerk , to Walter and Margaret for their lives without impediment or impeachment of waste. The grant was made by charter dated on 20 August 1427, shown to the jurors. John, Nicholas, and Roger afterwards, for them and their heirs, quitclaimed the manors and advowsons to Walter, then with Margaret, described as Walter Sondes, knight , and to his heirs and assigns, among other things, by deed dated on 29 January 1428. The deed was shown to the jurors.He died on 17 June last. Thomas Sondes is his son and next heir, and aged 28 years and more.
