There is the site, worth nothing yearly; 200 a. arable, worth 33s. 4d. yearly; 100 a. pasture, worth 33s. 4d. yearly; 30 a. meadow, worth 30s. yearly; 2 watermills, worth 53s. 4d. yearly; 22s. 2 1/2d. assize rent, payable at Easter, Midsummer, Michaelmas and Christmas equally by various free tenants; 69s. 5 1/2d. rent, payable yearly at the said terms equally by various tenants who hold for life according to the custom of the manor; view of frankpledge held twice yearly, worth 3s. 4d. yearly; and a court baron held every three weeks, worth 6s. 8d. yearly.
Box, the manor, held of Margery Molyns by service of 15s., payable yearly to Margery at Easter and Michaelmas equally for all service. There is the site, worth 12d. yearly; 36 a. arable, worth 6s. yearly; 6 a. pasture, worth 6s. yearly; 6 a. meadow, worth 10s. yearly; 8 a. wood, worth 4s. yearly; 13s. 4d. rent, payable yearly at Easter, Midsummer, Michaelmas and Christmas equally by various tenants who hold for life according to the custom of the manor; a watermill, worth 10s. yearly; and a court baron held every three weeks, worth 3s. yearly.

She died on 1 September last. Margaret, wife of Walter Sondes, knight , is her daughter and next heir, and aged 40 years and more.

Holdings
She held no lands or tenements in demesne, service, or reversion of the king in chief. Morgan Goonz, John Bernard , Nicholas Samburn, junior , and Philip Spor were formerly seised of the following manors in their demesne as of fee. They granted them to John de Erlegh and Isabel then his wife, and to the heirs of the bodies of John and Isabel, to hold of the chief lords of those fees by due service, with remainder to the right heirs of John. The grant was made by their charter, shown to the jurors. John and Isabel were thus seised in their demesne as of fee tail.
Beckington, the manor, held of Robert Ponynges, knight , by 2s. yearly, or one sparrow-hawk, payable at Candlemas for all service. There is the manorial site, worth nothing yearly; 204 a. arable, worth 20s. yearly; 20 a. meadow, worth 30s. yearly; 50 a. wood, worth 10s. yearly; 16 a. pasture, worth 5s. yearly; a watermill, worth 20s. yearly; 25s. 8d. assize rent, payable at Easter, Midsummer, Michaelmas and Christmas equally by various free tenants; 100s. rent, payable yearly at the same terms equally by various tenants who hold for life according to the custom of the manor; and a court baron held every three weeks, worth nothing yearly above the fees of the steward and bailiff. There is 1/2 knight’s fee, that was held of Isabel by the prior of Maiden Bradley of the manor of Beckington in free, pure, and perpetual alms and by suit at the court called ‘lawday’ held twice yearly by the prior’s tenants in the vill of Beckington.
The advowson of the church is worth £10 yearly.
Babcary, the manor, held of Humphrey Stafford, knight , of his manor of Marston Magna by 2s. yearly, or one sparrow-hawk, payable at Candlemas for all service. There is the manorial site, worth nothing yearly; 115 a. arable, worth 9s. yearly; a grove of wood, worth 20d. yearly; 20 a. meadow, worth 23s. 2d. yearly; 6s. 11d. assize rent, payable at Easter, Midsummer, Michaelmas and Christmas equally by various free tenants; 14 a. pasture, worth 2s. 4d. yearly; and 117s. rent, payable yearly at the said terms equally by various tenants who hold for life according to the custom of the manor.
The advowson of the church is worth 8 marks yearly.
Perry, the manor, held of Katherine, queen of England , of the honour of Hereford by 5s. yearly, payable at the feast of St Thomas the Apostle for all service. There is the manorial site, worth nothing yearly; 47 a. arable, worth 5s. yearly; 16 a. meadow, worth 30s. yearly; 13 1/2 a. pasture, worth 13s. yearly; 7s. 1/2d. assize rent, payable at the said terms equally by various free tenants; and 25s. 2d. rent, payable yearly at the said terms by various tenants of lands and tenements held for life according to the custom of the manor.
Durston, the manor, with advowson of the free chapel there on alternate occasions, held of Robert Ponynges, knight , by 12d. yearly, payable at Candlemas for all service. Excepting the manorial site, 200 a. wood, and 60 a. meadow, there is in the manor 100s. rent, payable yearly at the said terms equally by various tenants of lands and tenements held for life according to the custom of the manor; rent of a pair of gilt spurs, payable yearly at the feast of St George; and a court baron held every three weeks, worth nothing yearly above the fees of the steward and bailiff.
The free chapel is worth 40s. yearly.
John and Isabel had issue: Margaret, now wife of Walter Sondes, knight , and John afterwards died seised of his estate. Isabel continued in her estate for life, and died seised of the above with the exception of the site of the manor of Durston, 200 a. wood, and 60 a. meadow in the park of the same manor, granted by Isabel after the death of John to Walter Sondes and Margaret, and to the heirs of Margaret. Walter and Margaret were, and still are, seised in their demesne: Walter as of free tenement, and Margaret as of fee.
Date of death and heir as 337. Margaret is also next heir of John and Isabel, as of their bodies, and daughter and heir of John.
