Holdings

He held no lands or tenements of the king or any other in demesne or service. Long before his death, he granted the following to William Tirwhit , his brother, Thomas Cumberworth , and John Gryffith , knights, Robert Rolleston, provost of the college of St John of Beverley , John Constable, esquire , Thomas Tirwhit of Wrawby, and Thomas Est , and to their heirs and assigns in perpetuity. They thus were seised in demesne as of fee and are still so seised. The grant was made by charter dated 16 December 1429, shown to the jurors.

Dunston, the manor, held of Robert Pedwardyne, knight , and Nicholas Wymbyssh, clerk , as of their manor of Nocton.
Anwick, the manor, held of William Fylypp, knight , and Anne his wife as of their manor of Ruskington.
Harpswell, the manor, held of Gerard Sothill, esquire , as of his manor of Redbourne.
Spital in the Street, a messuage and 2 bovates; and
Hemswell, 2 bovates of land and 20 a. meadow,
held of Katherine, queen of England , as of the soke of Kirton in Lindsey.
Upton, a toft and 2 bovates, held of the bishop of Lincoln as of his manor of Stow.

He died on 29 December last. Margaret, Elizabeth, and Joan, his daughters and next heirs, are respectively aged 8 and more, 6 and more, and 2 and more.
