Regarding lands and tenements held by knight service of the bishopric of Lincoln, lately sede vacante and thus taken into the king’s hand. They are now in the custody of John Danvers and Robert Danvers by commission of Henry VI [CFR 1422–1430, p. 162]. Inform John and Robert of the forthcoming proof of age.

Thomas Wykeham, junior , aged 60 and more, swears that William was born at Shutford, baptised in the church there, and was aged 21 on 24 December last. He was present at the baptism, and saw John Hayton , godfather, give 20s. to William immediately afterwards. John Shurlton , 55 and more, knows because such a wind blew up in the vill on the day of William’s baptism that people feared the collapse of their weakened houses. Ralph Archer , 56 and more, knows because Robert his first-born son died. John Tonford , 59 and more, broke his right arm 21 years ago. William Hyde , 63 and more, married Isabel. Thomas Pryket , 67, carried the basin and ewer in front of William while he was carried to the church for baptism. William Hornecastell , 69, knows because Joan his wife gave birth to a daughter called Katherine. William Herryes , 65, said some of his buildings in the vill suddenly caught fire. Thomas Halyngrygge , 55, was parish clerk and held the book for the priest. Richard Warther , 48, said that Robert his son celebrated his first mass as a priest on the day of William’s baptism. John Bray, senior , 63, was climbing a ladder when he fell and broke his right shin. Richard Stevenes , 61, was servant to William Bermyngeham , father of William, and held a torch by William during his baptism.
