Regarding lands and tenements held for life from the inheritance of John Arundell, chevalier , a minor in the king’s wardship and son and heir of John Arundell, chevalier , who held of ‪ Henry V in chief.

He was not seised of any lands or tenements in demesne as of fee. Thomas, late earl of Arundel , was seised of the following in demesne as of fee tail male.
Harnage, the hamlet, annual value 20s., parcel of the manor of Cound, held of the king in chief by knight service.
Moreton, 24s. rent from the lands and tenements of Roger Morton .
Thomas held the hamlet and rent, among other lands and tenements, by grant of John de Alresford and John Sprot, chaplain , to Richard, late earl of Arundel , his grandfather as father of Richard father of Thomas, and to the heirs male of his body by Eleanor daughter of Henry of Lancaster, senior, late earl of Lancaster . The grant was made by a fine levied during the reign of Edward. Thomas demised the hamlet and rent to Robert for life, with reversion to Thomas, and the heirs male of his body.

John Arundell, chevalier , is kin and next heir male of the late earl as the son of John son of John son of John brother of Richard son of Richard the late earl, and aged 21 and more. He is a minor in the king’s wardship. Robert died on 6 May last. Joan Rose is his daughter and next heir, and aged 30 and more.
