He was the son of Joan daughter of Joan one of the sisters of Thomas Cheynduyt father of John Cheynduyt who held of ‪ Henry VI in chief. Ralph was kin and heir of John.

Holdings

The following came to the hands of ‪ Henry V and is still in the king’s hands owing to the death of John Cheynduyt and the minority of Ralph Trenewith .

Bodannon, ½ manor, held of the king as of his castle of Launceston as of his duchy of Cornwall by knight service. There are 300 a. arable, a moiety of an acre worth 6d. yearly; 40 a. meadow, a moiety of an acre worth 10d. yearly; and 100 a. pasture, a moiety of an acre worth 4d. yearly. In the same manor are the following.
Bodannon, 1/11 knight’s fee mortain, the moiety worth 4s. 8½d. yearly when it falls, and, appurtenant to the manor, the bailiwick of the hundred of Trigg, the moiety worth 20s. yearly, with goods and chattels called ‘Wayfs’ and ‘Strays’ although the moiety of these is worth nothing yearly, held of John son and heir of John Colshull, junior , a minor in the king’s wardship because he holds the same moieties of the king as of the duchy of Cornwall by knight service.
A messuage, the moiety worth 6s. 8d. yearly, and 2 Cornish acres of land, a moiety of an acremoiety of worth 18d. yearly, held of John Passele, chevalier , as of the manor of Helland by a moiety of 20s. rent yearly.
Bowithick, 1/2 knight’s fee mortain, the moiety worth 5s. yearly when it falls, held of John Cornewayll, chevalier , as of his manor of Tintagel by a moiety of 15d. yearly.
Penpethy, one messuage and 3 ferlings of land, the moiety worth 7s. 6d. yearly,n012 held of the king as of his manor of Helstone in Trigg as of his duchy of Cornwall as 1/10 fee mortain and by a fee mortain and by moiety of 15d. yearly.
Poltreworgey, 1/12 knight’s fee mortain, the moiety worth 4s. 2d. yearly when it falls, held of the king as of his manor of Penmayne by a moiety of 2s. yearly.
Tregeare, 1/20 knight’s fee mortain, the moiety worth 13s. yearly when it falls, held of Robert Kayll , service unknown.

The following came to the hands of ‪ Henry V and is still in the king’s hands for the same reasons as above.

Penpethy, the moieties of one messuage and of a ferling of land, worth 6s. 8d. yearly, held of the king as of his manor of Helstone as of the duchy of Cornwall in the hundred of Trigg by knight service and a moiety of 15d. yearly.
Bowithick, the moieties of one messuage and of a ferling of land, worth 6s. 8d. yearly, held of the king as of his manor of Tintagel as of his duchy of Cornwall.
Poltreworgey, the moieties of one messuage and of a ferling of land, worth 6s. 8d. yearly, held of the king as of the manor of Penmayne as of the duchy of Cornwall by knight service.

Ralph died on 15 August 1427. John is his son and next heir, and aged 24 years and more.
