He died seised in his demesne as of fee tail, to himself and the male heirs of his body, of the following messuages, tofts, land, meadow, moor, rents, services and court held of the king in chief by 1/20 knight’s fee as part of the manor of Snaith held of the king in chief by knight service, by gift of Master John de Neuton, late parson of Titchmarsh church , Nicholas Northfolk of Naburn, William Roslyn of Cotness, Nicholas Roslyn and John Daunay to Elizabeth, his mother, lately wife of Thomas Daunay , his father, and Thomas Daunay ’s male heirs by Elizabeth.
Snaith, Cowick and Gowdall, 8 messuages, worth 12s. yearly and no more because 6 are vacant and totally destroyed; 2 tofts, worth 6d. yearly; 5 bovates, worth 5s. yearly and no more because fallow and unoccupied; 30 a. land, worth 12d. yearly and no more because fallow and unoccupied; 30 a. meadow, worth 2s. yearly and no more because they lie on the bank of the River Aire which bank... great repair; and 300 a. moor, worth 3s. 4d. and no more on account of flooding.
Snaith, Cowick, Gowdall, Hensall, Balne, Heck, Little Heck, Whitley, Barlow and Burton, by Burn, £7 2s. 4d. assize rents from messuages, tofts and bovates which free tenants held of him by fealty and service of this rent at St Andrew, Palm Sunday, Midsummer and Michaelmas in equal portions.
Snaith, a three-weekly court held for all his tenants in the same vills, the perquisites worth 3s. 4d. after the costs of the steward and officials.
He died seised of the following in his demesne as of fee tail, to himself and the heirs of his body, by the same gift to Elizabeth and the heirs of Thomas by her,
not held of the king but of whom unknown. Escrick, the capital messuage, worth nothing yearly, and the following which belong to the messuage: 200 a. land, worth 6s. 8d. yearly and no more because fallow and unoccupied; 18 a. meadow, worth 3s. yearly and no more because within the common pasture and not enclosed; 12 a. moor with common pasture and estovers in 300 a. wood and common pasture in 300 [also given as 200] a. pasture, worth 2s. yearly and no more on account of flooding.
He died seised of the following in his demesne as of fee tail, to himself and the heirs of the body of Ellen Daunay , his late wife, by gift of Thomas Daunay to this John Daunay his son and Ellen, his late wife and their heirs,
held of [? Roger Lassels ]service unknown. Escrick, a toft, worth 12d. yearly; 100 a. land, worth 6s. yearly and no more because fallow and unoccupied; 10 a. meadow, worth 3s. 4d. yearly; and rights of common and estovers in 300 a. wood and common pasture in 300 a. pasture, worth 2s. yearly and no more on account of flooding.

He died seised in his demesne... marks annual rent from all lands and tenements... within Yorkshire at Martinmas and Pentecost in equal portions.... He died on 13 July last. John Daunay is his son and next heir, aged 26 years and more.
