He held no lands, tenements, rents or services of the king in chief in demesne or by service, but by gift and feoffment of Robert Marchall, vicar of Durnford , and Thomas Newman was seised of the manor of Great Durnford jointly with his wife Elizabeth and William Alisaundre , who survive, and Henry Popham , deceased, to hold to him, Elizabeth, and the heirs of their bodies. The manor is held of the earl of Salisbury for 1/20 knight's fee, annual value 5 marks.
He died on 22 March last. Thomas Wodhull is his son and next heir, aged 11 years and more.

He held no lands, tenements, rents or services of the king in chief or of others in demesne or by service because long before he died he granted the manor of Odell and the advowson of the church of Odell on 28 Sept. 1419 at Odell to Thomas Straunge, esquire , John Kneseworth , William Sewale, clerk , and Richard Edmond of Pattishall without first obtaining the king's licence. A fine was levied oct. St. Martin 1419 and afterwards oct. Trin. 1421 [CP 25/1/6/77, no. 18] between Thomas Straunge , etc., quer., and Thomas Wodhull, knight , def., of the manor and advowson, by which def. acknowledged them to be the right of quer. by gift of def., who remised and quitclaimed them to quer. The manor and advowson are held of the king in chief for 1/10 knight's fee. There are in the manor a capital messuage, annual value nil bcause the houses of the manor are ruinous; a garden, annual value 2s. 4d.; a water-mill, annual value 26s. 8d.; 12 a. and 3 roods of meadow, annual value 31s. 10 1/2d. and worth yearly 2s. 6d. an acre; 140 a. arable of which 60 a. can be sown yearly; 11 a. arable, annual value 23s. 8d. and worth yearly 4d. an acre but nil when they lie fallow and in common; 35 a. wood, of which the underwood of 5 a. can be sold yearly, annual value 10s. at 2s. an acre; 40 a. several pasture, annual value 6s. 8d. at 2d. an acre; a several fishery, annual value 6s. 8d.; 20s. 2d. rents of free tenants; 1 lb. pepper worth 2s.; 1 lb. cumin worth 3d.; 41s. rents of customary tenants; 2s. 9d. perquisites of courts and views of frankpledge; and 100s. yearly rents called `Rokyngham warde' from various fees. The manor is charged in perpetuity with £9 yearly for the ward of Rockingham castle and 10s. 8d. yearly to the king by the sheriff of Bedfordshire. It is also charged with 20s. yearly rent to Thomas Roxton for life by grant of Thomas Wodhull and with 20s. yearly to the feodary who collects the 100s. called `Rokyngham warde'. Annual value of the manor and advowson 43s. 4 1/2d.
