Holdings

He held no lands of the king in chief or of others in demesne or by service. His father William Aistirby, whose heir he is, was seised of the manor of Wootton in the townships of Goxhill, Kirmington and Riby, and as William de Aistirby son of Roger de Aistirby, knight , granted it to Laurence Moygne of Theddlethorpe All Saints or Theddlethorpe St. Helen, who was seised. Afterwards Laurence by his charter dated at Wootton 29 March 1406 and sealed with a seal engraved with his arms, shown to the jurors in evidence, demised it to Thomas Haxey, clerk , and John Kenermond . By charter dated at Wootton 23 Sept. 1411 they demised it to William de Aysterby , son and heir of William de Aysterby of Wootton, and his wife Alice, who survives, and the heirs of their bodies, remainder to William's right heirs. The manor is held of the prior of St. John of Jerusalem in England, service unknown, annual value £10.

He died on 18 Mar. 1420.n759_001 John Aistirby is his son and next heir, aged 14 years and more.

n759_001^: The date is Monday before the feast of St Cuthbert (Gutburte), 7 Hen. V. If St Cuthbert's primary feast is meant - 20 Mar. - not his translation - 4 Sept. - then the date must be 18 Mar. 1420.
