He held of the king in chief in his demesne as of fee by knight service the manor of Hartley. Annual value of the site of the manor, and of perquisites of court over and above the steward's expenses, nil. There are 66s. 8d. assize rents from the tenants of the manor at the four usual terms. There are in the manor 100 a. arable worth 4d. an acre, 80 a. pasture, annual value 16s. 8d., 5 a. meadow worth 12d. an acre, 10 a. mature woodof which 1 a. can be felled each year, annual value of each acre 5s., and various heaths and little woods, annual value nil because they are enclosures of the manor.
He held jointly with David Renandyn , who survives, to hold to them and the heirs of John for ever by grant of Richard Clyfford junior and Edward Dauntesey, clerk ,
a messuage, 2 cottages and 100 a. arable in Southfleet, held of the prior of Rochester in gavelkind, service unknown. Annual values: the site of the messuage and cottages nil, the lands and tenements 31s. 3d.
He held jointly with John Hals and William Yonge , who survive, to hold to them and the heirs of John for ever by grant of William Hardy,
100 a. arable in Northfleet and Grain held of the archbishop of Canterbury in gavelkind of his manor of Northfleet, service unknown, annual value 20s.
He held in his demesne as of fee:
2 a. wood called `Benegrene' in Stone held of the bishop of Rochester in gavelkind, service unknown, annual value 2s.;
32 a. arable in Swanscombe of the earl of March in gavelkind, service unknown, annual value 7s. 4d.;
4 a. wood called `Shrofeld' in Fawkham held of Robert Lovell, esquire , in gavelkind, service unknown;
85 a. arable in Kingsdown held of the earl of March in gavelkind, service unknown, annual value 5s.;
14 a. arable in Kingsdown held of William Burton, lord of Hever , in gavelkind, service unknown, annual value 2s. 4d.;
30 a. arable in Chevening held of the archbishop of Canterbury in gavelkind, service unknown, annual value 20s.;
13 a. arable in Southfleet of John Snape, priest of the chantry of Fawkham , in gavelkind, service unknown, annual value 9s. 1d.
He held for life for 40s. yearly by demise of Joan widow of Geoffrey Kyrkebey , who survives,
a messuage, 100 a. arable, 5 a. wood and 4 a. meadow in Horton Kirby held of Thomas Stonore in gavelkind, service unknown, annual value of the site of the messuage nil, of the remainder 4s. yearly.

He died on 16 Nov. last. John Urban is his son and next heir, aged 20 years and more on 2 Feb. last. John Urban and his brother Andrew, aged 12 years and more, are his sons and next heirs in the lands held in gavelkind.
