Holdings

Thomas Lucy , deceased, long held the manor of Bishampton in fee simple and married Alice daughter of William Huggeford . By his deed dated at Charlecote on 1 Nov. 1413 he granted to John Weston of Warwick, who survives, a yearly rent of 40s. from the manor for life payable at Lady Day and Michaelmas, with licence to distrain. He held it from that date by the deed shown to the jurors. Afterwards Thomas Lucy gave the manor to his brother William and the heirs of his body, with reversion to Thomas and the heirs of his body. Thomas died. William assigned 1/3 manor to Alice in dower.

William held 2/3 in his demesne in fee tail of the bishop of Worcester of the manor of Fladbury, service unknown. Annual value of the 2/3 beyond 5s. 4d. rent which Thomas Adames was accustomed to pay to Thomas Lucy, formerly lord of the manor, for a messuage and a virgate in Bishampton, and the rent of 40s. from John Weston , 100s.
Thomas Lucy acquired the messuage and virgate by feoffment of Thomas Adames , but William Lucy did not die seised of it because during Thomas Lucy's lifetime Peter Sadeler , claiming title, entered, and so seised enfeoffed John Throkmorton , who still holds.

William Lucy died 8 April last without heirs of his body. William son of Thomas Lucy , his kinsman and next heir, i.e. son of Thomas brother of William, is aged 16 years and more.
