In Credlingcot he held in fee simple 1 toft and 20 a. which William Dey then occupied at will, held of the heir of Lord de Sancto Mauro , a minor in the king’s ward, by knight service of his manor of Castle Cary, annual value 19s.4d.; 2s. service rent from the tenants of a watermill there, held of John Balon in fee by knight service and 13s.4d. rent for 1 messuage, 30 a. arable and 5 a. meadow, by his grant to Robert Lacy , now deceased, and Juliana his wife for their lives with reversion to the heirs of John Balon .
In Dunkerton he held in his demesne as of fee to himself and his heirs 2 parts of a carucate and of 6 a. meadow and 20s. rent with the reversion of the 3rd part which Mary widow of Richard Mulbourne holds in dower; and also in fee tail 1 messuage, 1 carucate, 12 a. meadow, 20 a. wood, 40 a. pasture, 40s. rent and a 3rd part of a watermill.
Also in Credlingcot he held in fee tail 1 toft, 1 messuage, 80 a. arable, 6 a. meadow and a dovecot, by the grant of William Canynges and Richard Tailour , clerks, to him, Emmota his late wife and the heirs of their bodies. They had issue Alice formerly the wife of John Wylkyns . The holdings should descend to her. The remainder of all stated are held of John Pederton, esquire , service unknown, annual value £4.
He died on 4 Sept. last. John his son and heir is aged 5 years and more. Alice his daughter is aged 30 years and more.
