He held 10 a. arable in Stratfield Mortimer called ‘Wykyngesfeld’ and other lands and tenements there called ‘Southwodelond’ jointly with Joan his wife who survives him, by the gift of William Lynde , Eustace Dabryggecourt , William Rous and William Alisaundre to them and the heirs of their bodies by their indented charter shown to the jurors. The 10 a. are held of the earl of March of his manor of Stratfield Mortimer by fealty, annual value 6s.8d. ‘Southwodelond’ is not held of the king in chief, but of whom is unknown, annual value 20s.

He also held 12 tenements in Beech Hill of the earl of March of the manor of Stratfield Saye in Hampshire, which is held of the king in chief by knight service, annual value of the tenements 6 marks.

He died on 18 August last. John his son and heir is aged 11 years and more.

He held the manor and advowson of Stratfield Saye in his demesne as of fee of the king in chief as 1 knight’s fee. There are: the site and garden, annual value nil; 2 watermills, 1 40s., the other nil because ruinous; 1 fulling mill, nil because also ruinous; 1 dovecot 40d.; 144 a. arable 35s.; 30 a. meadow, 50s.; a park with pasture worth 20s., pastures called ‘Westlond’, ‘Haywode’ and ‘Wyot’ 40s.; 200 a. wood nil; £10 assize rents at the 4 terms.

He also held in his demesne as of fee of the king in chief 1 assart croft by a rent of 2s.3d., and of others than the king 3 messuages in Southampton, annual value 30s., 1 watermill called ‘Lynleyhithe’ 60s., and other lands in Bramley 2s., as 1 knight’s fee.
