He held 10 a. arable in Stratfield Mortimer called ‘Wykyngesfeld’ and other lands and tenements there called ‘Southwodelond’ jointly with Joan his wife who survives him, by the gift of William Lynde , Eustace Dabryggecourt , William Rous and William Alisaundre to them and the heirs of their bodies by their indented charter shown to the jurors. The 10 a. are held of the earl of March of his manor of Stratfield Mortimer by fealty, annual value 6s.8d. ‘Southwodelond’ is not held of the king in chief, but of whom is unknown, annual value 20s.

He also held 12 tenements in Beech Hill of the earl of March of the manor of Stratfield Saye in Hampshire, which is held of the king in chief by knight service, annual value of the tenements 6 marks.

He held in his demesne in fee tail to himself and the heirs between himself and Joan his wife, daughter of Roger Lynde, 1 tenement of 2 mansions in St. Margaret Pattens parish in Billingsgate ward, annual value 33s.4d.; 1 tenement with 2 shops and 4 mansions adjacent to the east, in the same parish but in Tower Street ward, annual value 66s.8d., and 1 tenement with shop to the south annexed to the mansions, in St. Dunstan in the East parish in Tower Street ward, annual value 26s.8d. All are held of the king in burgage as is all London.

He held various lands in Stratfield Saye formerly of John Rynon, certain lands and tenements called ‘Fayrelond’, others called ‘Burbacheslond’, and others … 1 cottage called ‘Crouchehouse’ with garden and adjacent croft, 1 cottage with curtilage formerly of Edmund Smyth next ‘Fayreok’, and 1 which John Bradeford formerly held, and 1 field called ‘Inhome’ by ‘Berefeldhache’, also 3 crofts in Heckfield between the lane from ‘Staneford’ to the heath on one side and ‘Yongeslonde’ on the other, 1 house with appurtenances called ‘Ochynhouse’ with garden, croft and grove adjoining, 1 croft called ‘Herewardescroft’, 2 cottages and 1/2 virgate in Heckfield, and a yearly rent of 40s. in Bramley from land and mill in ‘Watesford’, all of which he held jointly with Joan his wife by the grant of William Lynde and others as above [no. 726] to them and the heirs of their bodies by their indented charter shown to the jurors, annual value together 20 marks, all held of others than the king, but of whom is unknown.

He held the manor and advowson of Stratfield Saye in his demesne as of fee of the king in chief as 1 knight’s fee. There are: the site and garden, annual value nil; 2 watermills, 1 40s., the other nil because ruinous; 1 fulling mill, nil because also ruinous; 1 dovecot 40d.; 144 a. arable 35s.; 30 a. meadow, 50s.; a park with pasture worth 20s., pastures called ‘Westlond’, ‘Haywode’ and ‘Wyot’ 40s.; 200 a. wood nil; £10 assize rents at the 4 terms.

He also held in his demesne as of fee of the king in chief 1 assart croft by a rent of 2s.3d., and of others than the king 3 messuages in Southampton, annual value 30s., 1 watermill called ‘Lynleyhithe’ 60s., and other lands in Bramley 2s., as 1 knight’s fee.
