He held half the manor of Stapleford for life by the grant of John de Arundell , deceased, with reversion to Arundell and his heirs. There are 200 a. arable of which 100 a. may be sown each year, annual value 4d. each, the other 100 being pasture for sheep at 1d. each, 12 a. meadow at 4s. each yearly, 252 a. hill pasture for sheep 20s., rents of free and unfree tenants, £8 payable by equal parts at Easter and Michaelmas. It is held of the king in chief as half a knight’s fee.

He died on 21 Jan. last. [John] Arundell, knight, lord Maltravers is the heir of John Arundell , being the son of John his son, aged 30 years and more.
