Holdings

He held the manor of Eynsford of the archbishop of Canterbury of his manor of Otford by suit of court there every 3 weeks. There are very ruinous buildings, annual value nil; £6 in rents payable by equal parts at Christmas, Easter, Midsummer and Michaelmas; 10 a. meadow at 2s.6d. the a.; and the remainder of the manor in lands, woods, mills and other appurtenances 10 marks. He also held 90 a. pasture for sheep in Eynsford called ‘Boure’ of John la Souche, knight , in gavelkind, annual value 3s.4d.

Thomas Morton , John Proude and John Frensshe held the manor of Stockbury in their demesne as of fee of the king by knight service and a rent of 14s. payable at Rochester castle on St. Andrew’s eve, and gave it by royal licence [CPR 1377–81, p.109] to Nicholas Kyriell , father of William, and Elizabeth wife of Nicholas, who is still living, and the heirs of their bodies with remainder to his right heirs.

He died on 9 Oct. last. Thomas his son and next heir was 18 years of age on 15 Sept. last.
