He died on 27 Dec. 1405. Robert his son and next heir was then aged 14 years and more.
The king by letters patent shown to the jurors [CPR 1405–8, p.145] granted on 1 January 1406 to John Tiptot, knight , the above lands to the value of 20 marks then in his hands owing to the minority until the full age of an heir, and so Tiptot has held them.
