Holdings
He held the following jointly with Margaret his wife, who survives, to them and the heirs of the body of Margaret, by grant of John Leventhorp, esquire , and Robert Southwell , as appears in a charter shown to the jurors.

In the charter the moiety was described as a moiety of the manor of Clothall.
Clothall, ½ manor called ‘Hokeslond’, annual value 4 marks sterling.

are held of the heirs of lord Thomas St John as 1 knight’s fee.
He died on 25 February last. His daughters and next heirs are Elizabeth, wife of Thomas Morstede, esquire , aged 36 and more; and Joan, wife of William Drewell , aged 30 and more.
The aforementioned Margaret [his wife] received the issues of the above from his death until the day of this inquisition.
