Addressed to Henry Oldcastell , Thomas Bromwych , Thomas Mymme , and the sheriff of Herefordshire, quorum 2, as in writ diem clausit extremum; and ordering the sheriff to summon a jury [CPR 1441–6, p. 201].

He held the following in demesne as of fee.
Eton Tragoys’, the manor, held of the king in chief by knight service, viz. by homage, fealty, and scutage. The site of the manor is worth nothing yearly. In the manor there are 300 a. arable, each acre worth 1d. yearly; 40 a. meadow, each acre worth 8d. yearly; 40 a. pasture, each acre worth 4d. yearly; an enclosed park containing 1000 a., worth 100s. yearly; 40 a. wood, each acre worth 2d. yearly; a water-mill, worth 40s. yearly; a several fishery in a weir (quedam separalis piscaria unius gurgitis), worth 6s. 8d. yearly; 6 marks assize rent from various tenants, payable at Lady Day and Michaelmas; a view of frankpledge held twice a year, worth 13s. 4d. yearly; and a court baron held every three weeks, worth nothing yearly.
Foy and Ingestone, two tenements so-called, containing 200 a. arable, each acre worth 4d. yearly; 40 a. meadow, each acre worth 8d. yearly; and 100 a. pasture, each acre worth 1d. yearly, held of John Talbot, earl of Shrewsbury , service unknown; and 40s. assize rent from various tenants who held of John Abrahale as of those tenements, payable at Easter and Michaelmas. The site of the tenements is worth nothing yearly.
Much Birch, Bolstone (Buggleston), and Archenfield, the services of various tenants who held certain lands and tenements of John by fealty and rent of 20s. payable at Easter and Michaelmas; which lands and tenements John held of the king in chief by knight service, viz. by homage, fealty and scutage.
Elvastone (Evaston) and Peterstow, a moiety of a messuage, 100 a. land, 8 a. meadow, and 6 a. pasture, annual value 6s. 8d., held of the abbot of Gloucester , service unknown.
Netherton, a messuage and 80 a. land, annual value 20s., held of the abbot of St Peter of Gloucester , service unknown.
Ross-on-Wye, 9 messuages, annual value 20s., held of the bishop of Hereford , service unknown.
John Hamond, chaplain , and David ap Hoell were lately seised of the following in demesne as of fee. They feoffed therein John Abrahale and Peryna his wife and the heirs of their bodies, with remainder to the right heirs of John. John died seised of such estate, and Peryna survives.
Everstone (Iverston)
and the manors, annual value £20, held of John Talbot, earl of Shrewsbury , service unknown.
Hugh Mortymer, knight , and Richard ap Harry received the issues of the manor of ‘Eton Tragoys’ from his death until the taking of this inquisition and still receive them [title not specified].

He died on 8 March 1443. William Abrahale is his son and next heir, aged 6 and more.
