Inquire after those lands and tenements that came to ‪ Richard II owing to the idiocy of William, and are yet in the king’s hand.

Holdings

Reynold father of William held the following manor by curtesy after the death of Elizabeth his wife from the inheritance of William. After the death of Reynold, it came to the hand of ‪ Richard II by reason of William’s idiocy and is yet in the king’s hand.

Milton on Stour, 1/3 manor, annual value 40s., held with the rest of the manor of Richard, earl of Salisbury , by rendering 2s., or 1 oz silk, yearly to the earl at Michaelmas for all services.

William died on 20 March last. Richard Welyngton , his kin and next heir as the son of Thomas son of Lucy sister of Cecily mother of Margaret mother of Elizabeth mother of William, is aged 50 years and more.
