Holdings

He held no lands or tenements of the king in chief, or any other, in demesne as of fee or service. Described as Thomas Stanes alias Thomas Bronsham , he held the following for life, by grant of Thomas Eyr , lately citizen and draper of London, with reversion to him and his heirs.

Staines, 10 marks quit-rent, taken equally at the four usual terms of the year, viz., Michaelmas, Christmas, Easter and Midsummer, by the hand of Thomas Eyr , his heirs or executors, from lands and tenements of Thomas Eyr .
The rent was seized into the king’s hand and is still there because of a felony perpetrated by Thomas Stanes , after which he fled and withdrew himself, just as found before the coroner upon view of the body of John Wylby , who was killed by Thomas.

He died on 1 March last. John Bronsham , his brother and next heir, is aged 50 years and more.
