She held the following in demesne as of free tenement for life, reversion to William Burley , son and heir of John Burley , son of Alice [sic, but see below]. William was taken into the king’s hand after the death of John because of the various lands and tenements John held of the king in chief and because of William’s minority.
Birley, the manor, held of Richard, duke of York , by knight service. There are various run-down houses, greatly in need of repair, worth nothing yearly; 2 carucates of land, each worth 8s. yearly; 6 a. meadow, each acre worth 12d. yearly; a run-down park, the agistment of which worth 6s. 8d. yearly; 60s. 7 1/2d. annual rent, payable at Easter and Michaelmas equally; and 16 a. pasture, each acre worth 2d. yearly.

She died on 31 August 1436. William Burley is her son and next heir [sic], aged 15 years and more.

Holdings
‪ Henry IV granted the following manors, etc., to Richard Arundell, chevalier , and Alice his wife for their lives, as fully contained in his letters patent [CPR 1408–13, p. 460]. Alice died thus seised, reversion belonging to the king.
Banstead, the manor. There is £19 10s. annual rent from tenants free and neif, payable at Easter and Michaelmas equally; 300 a. arable, each acre worth 4d. yearly; a court baron, with view of frankpledge, held at Easter and Michaelmas, worth 10s. yearly; a rabbit-warren, worth 40s. yearly; and a park, worth nothing beyond enclosure and sustenance of the beasts.
Walton on the Hill, the manor, with the advowson of the church. There is £8 3s. 4d. annual rent from tenants free and neif, payable as above; 350 a. arable, of which 27 a. worth 3d. per acre yearly, and the rest worth 2 1/2d. per acre yearly; 110 a. wood, each acre worth 2d. yearly; a rabbit-warren, worth £6 yearly; and a court baron, held every 3 weeks, worth 6s. 8d. yearly.
The advowson of the church is filled and has not been vacant since Alice’s death.
Charlwood, 360 a. arable, each acre worth 3d. yearly.
By letters patent dated at Westminster on 6 August 1436 [CFR 1430–37, p. 296], ‪ Henry VI granted Ralph Recheford, knight , custody of the manor of Banstead and of all lands and tenements in Walton on the Hill and Charlwood to have for seven years from the time of Alice’s death, as fully contained in the letters patent. By virtue of this, Ralph has taken all the profits since Alice’s death, and he continues to take them.
She died on 2 August last.
