He died seised of the following as of free tenement, held for life by grant of ‪ Henry V [CPR 1413–16, p. 259], reversion to the king and his heirs.
Capel, the manor, held in gavelkind of the archbishop of Canterbury , service unknown. There is a manorial site, worth nothing yearly because ruinous and totally fallen-apart; 120 a. pasture, each acre worth 5d. yearly; 180 a. wood, of which it is possible to cut 5 acres at a seasonable time each year, each of these 5 acres being worth 6s. yearly, the pasture of the rest of the wood being worth 5s. yearly; and 19s. 5d. assize rent from tenants, payable at Lady Day and Michaelmas equally. The true annual value of the 120 a. pasture, 180 a. wood and the assize rent is 104 s. 5d., from which the prioress and sisters of the hospital of St James by Canterbury have and are accustomed to have an annual rent of 5 marks 4s.

He died on 6 April last. Thomas Kerby , his son and next heir, is aged 14 years and more.
