John Langston of Caversfield held the following jointly with Elizabeth his wife, William Cheyne, knight, chief justice of the King’s Bench , John Cotesmore , justice of the Common Bench, master Robert Gilberd, lately dean of the king’s chapel , Thomas Straunge, knight , Robert Andrewe , Walter Cotton , John Danvers , William Thommes, rector of Whichford , Warwickshire , John Stowe , William Bedall , Thomas Compworth and John Byllyng of Lincolnshire, apprentice-at-law, by grant of John Estby, clerk , James Samwell , Thomas North and William Sambroke to them and John Barton, junior , and Thomas Bekyngham , now deceased, and John Langston ’s heirs and assigns. John Estby , etc., had been lately granted it by John Cotesmore and John Danvers to them and their heirs and assigns, as fully apparent in the separate charters of enfeoffment, shown to the jurors.
Bucknell, the manor, held of Maud Chaucer as of the d’Oilly fee called ‘Dolyes fee’ in Hook Norton, service unknown.
Elizabeth has taken all the profits from the time of his death to the present, and she still takes them.

John, his son and next heir, is aged 6 years.

One part of this indented inquisition, with the escheator’s seal attached, remains in the possession of the jurors, and the other part, with the jurors’ seals attached, remains in the possession of the king and the escheator.
