He held the following in demesne as of fee, together with Thomas Bromwiche , Thomas de la Hay , Thomas Burghope and Walter Mibbe , still living, by grant of master John Prophet, lately dean of Hereford cathedral , Thomas Yonge , John Boerley and Hugh Harper, chaplain , by a charter dated on 24 May 1407 to them and Isabel, lately wife of Richard, and William Harper , now deceased, and their heirs. This was done with ‪ Henry IV ’s licence [CPR 1405–8, p. 315].
Great Bolas and Isombridge, the manor, held of the king in chief by custody of the king’s forest of Morfe. There is a capital messuage, worth nothing yearly; 60 a. demesne land, each acre worth 2d. yearly; 8 a. meadow, each acre worth 12d. yearly; £4 rents from free tenants, payable at Lady Day and Michaelmas equally.

He died on 1 February last. Margaret and Anne are his daughters and next heirs, aged 13 years and more and 10 years and more, respectively.

He held the following in demesne as of fee, together with John Merbury, esquire , Walter Mybbe and John Daundesey , still living, by grant of Thomas Bromwiche, senior , George Breynton and John Saundres, clerk , to them and William Harper and Richard Walshe , now deceased, and their heirs. The king’s licence for this was not obtained, but afterwards ‪ Henry V pardoned the transgression by letters patent dated on 12 December 1420, shown to the jurors [CPR 1416–22, p. 310].
Snodhill, the castle, manor, and lordship, held of the king in chief by knight service. There is a castle, worth nothing yearly; a park, its pasture worth 2s. yearly; a watermill, worth nothing yearly because totally wasted; 100 a. land, each acre worth 2d. yearly; 20 a. meadow, each acre worth 12d. yearly; 40s. rent from free tenants, payable at Lady Day and Michaelmas equally; a free warren, worth nothing yearly; a fishery in the Dore, worth nothing yearly; view of frankpledge, worth 40d. yearly beyond the steward’s fee and expenses; 4 knights’ fees, each worth 20s. yearly;
and the advowson of the free chapel of the castle, belonging to the castle, manor and lordship, worth 40s. yearly.
He held the following manor in demesne as of fee, together with Thomas Bromwiche , Thomas Burghope and Walter Mybbe , still living, by grant of John Prophet, lately dean of Hereford cathedral , Thomas Yonge , John Boerley and Hugh Harper, chaplain , by a fine levied in the court of ‪ Henry IV [CP 25/1/83/51, no. 10] and by his licence [CPR 1401–5, p. 100] to them and Isabel, lately wife of Richard, and William Harper , now deceased, and their heirs.
Brimfield, the manor, held of the king by custody of his forest of Morfe in Shropshire. There is a capital messuage, worth nothing yearly; 100 a. land, each acre worth 2d. yearly; 6 a. meadow, each acre worth 12d. yearly; and 100s. rent from free tenants, payable at Lady Day and Michaelmas equally.
He held the following for life jointly with Alice his wife, still living, by grant of Richard, earl of Warwick , John Grey, Lord Grey , John Merbury , Hugh Burgh , William Boerley , William Lee and Richard Leget , by a deed shown to the jurors, reversion to the grantees and their heirs.
Credenhill, the manor, not including the advowson of the church, held of John Merbury , Walter Mybbe and John Daundesey as of the castle, manor and lordship of Snodhill as 1/2 knight’s fee. There is a capital messuage, worth nothing yearly; 100 a. land, each acre worth 2d. yearly; 8 a. meadow, each acre worth 12d. yearly; 60s. rent from free tenants, payable at Lady Day and Michaelmas equally; and a park, its pasture worth 40d. yearly.
He held the following in demesne as of fee jointly with Alice his wife, Edmund Cornewaill, esquire , Robert Amondesham , William Maxey, clerk , and John Dudley, chaplain , still living, by grant of William Barboure , Roger Barboure and Richard Bowyer , chaplains, to them and their heirs.
Dorstone, the castle, lordship and manor, held of Richard, duke of York , as of his castle and lordship of Clifford, service unknown. There is a castle, worth nothing yearly; 100 a. land, each acre worth 2d. yearly; 4 a. meadow, each acre worth 12d. yearly; 40 a. waste adjacent to the lordship, castle and manor, worth 12d. yearly; 2 watermills adjacent to the lordship, castle and manor, worth 30s. yearly; and £4 rent from free tenants, payable at Lady Day and Michaelmas equally.
Tyberton, the manor, held of the dean and chapter of Hereford cathedralname , service unknown. There is in the manor of Tyberton and in Blakemere, Bellimore, Chilstone, Arkstone and Preston on Wye, 60 a. land, each acre worth 2d. yearly; 3 a. meadow, each acre worth 12d. yearly; 20s. rent from free tenants, payable at the same dates. The manorial site is worth nothing yearly.
Upper Lyde, Lyde Godfrey, Lyde Saucey, and Lyde Priors, 3 messuages, worth nothing yearly, 7 tofts, worth 20d. yearly, a wasted dovecot, 100 a. land, each acre worth 2d. yearly, 5 a. meadow, each acre worth 12d. yearly, and 10s. assize rent, held of John Merbury as of his castle and lordship of Weobley, service unknown.
