He died seised of the following in the vill of Skelton in his demesne as of fee, held of the king in chief by homage, fealty and 14d. rent as cornage to his Carlisle exchequer at the Assumption: 6 messuages, worth nothing yearly, 50 a. land, each acre worth 4d. yearly, 10 a. meadow, each acre worth 6d. yearly, and 1/8 mill for corn, worth 2s. yearly.
He lately held the following in his demesne as of fee, with which he enfeoffed Lawrence Curtays and Nicholas Bacon , chaplains, to hold to them and their heirs and assigns of the chief lords of these fees by the services due and customary of right, as is clear more fully in his deed to them shown to the jurors and dated at Skelton on 29 May 1417. Having full and peaceable seisin, Lawrence and Nicholas enfeoffed John Skelton , first-born son of Richard, to hold to himself and his heirs and assigns as above, as is contained more fully in their deed, shown to and examined by the jurors, and dated at Skelton on 30 May 1417.

Hensingham, the manor, held of the abbey of the monastery of St Mary , York, in chief, service unknown.

He died on 3 October last. John Skelton his son is his next heir, aged 34 years and more.
