Holdings

Thomas Styward and Richard Walsyngham were seised in demesne as of fee of the manors of West Bilney and North Tuddenham. These they gave to Richard Belhus, knight , and to the heirs of his body, with remainder to his right heirs in perpetuity. He held

the manor of West Bilney, annual value 20 marks, of ‪ Edward III in chief as of his crown as ½ knight’s fee, and
the manor of North Tuddenham, annual value 10 marks, not of ‪ Edward III but of the heirs of Roger Huntyngfeld in socage.

He died seised of this estate on 23 June 1362. William Oldhall, knight , and Richard Boson, esquire , are his kin and next heirs. William is his next heir as the son of Edmund son of Emma one of the daughters and heirs of Richard Belhus ; and Richard Boson is his next heir as the son of John son of Maud the other daughter and heir of Richard Belhus . William and Richard is each aged 30 and more.
Richard Lovedous trespassed onto the manors immediately after the death of Richard Belhus owing to a charter regarding the same made to him by Richard Belhus when lying in extremis but by which nothing had been conveyed to his possession. Richard Lovedous enfeoffed Peter, lately prior of Pentney , with the manors, to have to him and his successors in perpetuity. The prior and his successors have therefore taken the issues until now.

[Foot:] This inquisition was freed to Chancery on 18 July 1432.
