Regarding CIPM XV no. 679, an inquisition taken in 1384. Inquire whether Edmund died without heir male of his body and, if so, the age and identity of his next heir.

Holdings
He held in demesne as of fee tail, to him and the heirs male of his body, the
manor of Crux Easton and advowson of the church there of the lord of Chute as of his manor of Chute
by grant of John Avenell, chevalier , with reversion to John Avenell and his heirs in perpetuity. The manor of Chute was in the hands of ‪ Richard II owing to the minority of John son and heir of John de Lisle who held of the king in chief. He held by the same grant
four assarts called ‘Welham’, ‘Medemedoune’, ‘Middeldoune’, and ‘Hangeres’, in the forest of Chute, parcel of the manor of Crux Easton, of ‪ Richard II by 10s. 8½d. yearly to the castle of Winchester,
with reversion to John Avenell and his heirs.
He died without heir male of his body.

by grant of John Avenell, chevalier . He died seised of this estate without heir male of his body, with reversion of the parcels to Robert as son and heir of John Avenell, chevalier, and to his heirs by virtue of the gift from John to Edmund.
