Owing to his death and the minority of Thomas his son and heir, the manor was taken into the hands of ‪Henry V because it is
held in chief of the king by knight service
. After the death of Thomas, Henry V granted the manor to his knight, Lewis Robessart , to have for life from the time of the death of John Rothenhale . The grant was made on 8 August 1420. Lewis died seised of this estate on 26 November last, and the escheator took the manor into the king’s hands.
