Regarding Cecily one of the daughters and heirs of Edmund Cheyne, knight , who held of ‪ Henry VI in chief. Edmund was son of Cecily wife of William Cheyne, knight , who also held of ‪ Henry VI in chief. Inquire after the lands and tenements that came to the king’s hands owing to the deaths of Edmund and Cecily wife of William, and the minority of Cecily.

Owing to the death of Cecily who was wife of William Cheyne, knight , the minority of Cecily one of the daughters and heirs of Edmund Cheyne, knight , and the minority of Elizabeth and Anne, daughters and heirs of Edmund and sisters of the same Cecily, the following came to the king’s hands and is still there.

Seavington-Vaus, the manor, annual value £10, held of Lord Zouche as of his manor of Castle Cary in socage by rendering 1d. yearly to him at Michaelmas for all services.

She died on 9 June last without heir of her body. Elizabeth and Anne are her sisters and next heirs, and Elizabeth is aged 8 years, and Anne is aged 6 and more.

The annual value of the manor, exceptions excepted, is £7 4s. Aside from 3 ferlings of land, the manor is held of the king as of his duchy of Cornwall as of his castle of Launceston in socage by 40s. rent yearly; and the ferlings are held of Edward Pomeray by 6d. rent yearly.
