John and Margaret were thus seised in demesne as of fee tail and John died seised of this estate.+[1]

The fees and advowson are parcel of the castle; and the castle, borough, manor, and hundred, with the manors of Minehead and Kilton, are held of the king in chief as a barony.

and the . The dower was assigned by John Gregory, escheator . He granted the office of parker at ‘hanger parke’ to Benet Tolouse for life for good service, taking 40s. yearly at the four terms of the year from the issues of the borough of Dunster, as apparent in the charter by which the grant was made, shown to the jurors.
