He held no lands or tenements of ‪ Henry V in chief in demesne as of fee or in service, but Thomas, late earl of Arundel , was seised of the following in demesne as of fee.
Calais, a messuage or inn with three shops, true annual value 100s., held of ‪ Henry IV by covering two watches for the defence of the vill.
He granted the messuage and shops to William Cokerham for life, to hold by rendering a rose to the earl and his heirs at Midsummer. The earl afterwards granted, among other things, the messuage and shops, held by William Cokerham , to Thomas, archbishop of Canterbury , and uncle of the earl, Robert Pobelowe , Thomas Harlyng , clerks, John Tank , John Beerley , John Whetehales , Robert Jugeler , and John Bartelot , all now deceased, and to William Ryman , still living, for the life of William Cokerham , with reversion to the earl and his heirs and remainder to Thomas, archbishop of Canterbury , Robert, Thomas, John, John, John, Robert, John, and William [as above], and to their heirs and assigns in perpetuity. The grant was made by a deed sealed with his arms, dated 1 September 1406. It was shown to the jurors. William attorned to Thomas, archbishop of Canterbury, etc. [as above] and became their tenant for life by rendering a rose at Midsummer. The messuage and shops should now revert to William Ryman and his heirs.

He died on 7 June 1418. John Cokerham is his son and next heir, and aged 24 and more.

‪ Henry V and then ‪ Henry VI occupied the messuage and shops after William’s death and took the issues as delivered by Roger Salveyn, knight , and Richard Bokeland , treasurer of Calais, title unknown.
