Regarding CIPM XX no. 663, an inquisition taken in 1416. Inquire by what right and in what manner John son of John Arundell, chevalier , minor, is kin and next heir male of Thomas, late earl of Arundel .

Margaret wife of Roland Lentale, knight , named in the writ, was not seised of any lands or tenements in demesne as of fee.n036 Thomas, late earl of Arundel , was seised of the following in demesne as of fee tail male, as granted, among other lands and tenements, by John de Alresford and John Sprot, chaplain , to Richard, late earl of Arundel and grandfather of Thomas as the father of Richard father of Thomas, and to his male heirs by Eleanor daughter of LancastrHenry de, senior, late earl of Lancaster . The grant was made by a fine levied in the court of Edward.
Great Dawley, the castle and lordship with members in Tibberton and Stirchley, annual value 100s. The castle and lordship with Tibberton are held of John Belamy as of his manor of Hinstock by petty serjeanty; and Stirchley is held of the abbot of Buildwas in socage.
Thomas demised the castle and lordship to Margaret for life, with reversion to Thomas in fee tail male. Margaret was also seised of the following for life as demised by Robert Pokelowe , Thomas Harlyng , clerks, William Ryman , and other co-feoffees of Thomas, late earl , with reversion to the same co-feoffees and their heirs in fee simple.
Childs Ercall (Erkelowe), the manor, annual value 100s., held of John son of John Arundell, chevalier, a minor in the king’s wardship, as of his manor of Wroxeter by knight service.

She died on 7 May 1424. John son of John Arundell, a minor, is kin and next heir male of the late earl as the son of John son of John son of John brother of Richard son of Richard the late earl, and aged 21 and more.
