She held the following in dower by endowment of John de Bello Monte , knight , her former husband, of the inheritance of John de Bello Monte , son and heir of Henry son and heir of the deceased John.
Linwood, the manor, held of the king in chief by knight service, namely a knight’s fee. In the site there are a hall, 12 chambers, 2 granges and other houses and buildings built there, worth nothing yearly after their repair and maintenance; 20 messuages, each worth 2s. yearly; 8 cottages, each worth 12d. yearly; 400 a. arable, each acre worth 3d. yearly; 179 a. meadow, each acre worth 4d. yearly; 225 a. wood, worth nothing yearly after enclosures and the keeper’s fee; and a small croft called ‘le Halle Crofte’, worth 4d. yearly. In the manor there are 58s. 8d. assize rents at Martinmas and Pentecost in equal portions.
Edenham, the manor, held of the king in chief by knight service, namely a knight’s fee. In the site there are a chamber, 2 granges and other houses and buildings built there, worth nothing yearly after their repair and maintenance; a dovecot and mill, both old and derelict, worth nothing yearly; and 2 crofts containing 1 1/2 a., worth nothing yearly after their enclosure. In the manor there are 196 a. demesne arable, each acre worth 3d. yearly; 20 a. demesne meadow, each acre worth 12d. yearly; 19 messuages and 19 bovates of arable, each messuage and bovate worth 4s. 6d. yearly, paid at Christmas, Easter, St Botulph and Michaelmas in equal portions; 60 cottages, each worth 12d. yearly, paid in equal portions at the same feasts; 3 pastures called ‘Byhaugh’, ‘Southstokkyng’ and ‘Northstokkyng’, severally enclosed with hedges, each containing 10 a. and each pasture worth 6s. 7d. yearly after its enclosure; another, open pasture called ‘le Skorth’ containing 6 a. and worth 16d. yearly; 3 woods, several and enclosed by hedges, called ‘Gumbergh’, ‘Fylhaugh’ and ‘Oustehaugh’, each containing 60a., whereof 64 a. are wood and this wood or underwood is worth nothing yearly after enclosure and their keeper’s wages; 11s. 3d. assize rents at the same four annual terms in equal portions; and view of frankpledge held within the month of Easter and at Michaelmas and also a court baron every three weeks, worth nothing after their steward’s fee.
Welbourn, the manor, held of the king in chief by knight service, namely a knight’s fee. In the site there are no buildings but the site’s pasture is worth 4d. yearly; a large enclosed garden called ‘Olde Orcherde’ containing 10 a., its herbage worth 5s. yearly; and a small water-mill, derelict and often without water, called ‘Clakke Mylne’, worth nothing yearly after the mill’s repair. In the manor there are 210 a. demesne arable, of which 110 a. lie in a field called ‘Westfeld’ and each acre is worth 2 1/2d. yearly, and the remaining 100 a. lie fallow on the heath in a field called ‘Estfeld’ and each acre is worth 1d. yearly; 63 1/2 a. meadow, each acre worth 6d. yearly; a large messuage with 2 dovecots and 2 crofts enclosed with walls, each croft containing 1/2 a., in the vill of Welbourn, worth nothing yearly after their repair and maintenance, part of this manor but held of John Wylford , service unknown; 24 messuages and 24 bovates of arable, each messuage and bovate worth 3s. yearly; 8 cottages, each worth 18d. yearly; 60s. assize rents at Christmas, Easter, St Botulph and Michaelmas in equal portions; and a view of frankpledge held within a month of Easter and of Michaelmas and a court called ‘Court Baron’ every three weeks, worth nothing yearly after their steward’s fee.
Barton upon Humber, 1/3 manor, held of the king by knight service, namely 1/2 knight’s fee, and 1/3 ferry (passagium) over the Humber called ‘Barton Fery’. In the 1/3 there are 8 cottages, each worth 3s. yearly; 2 tofts, each worth 4s. yearly; 140 a. arable, each acre worth 4d. yearly; 14 a. meadow, each acre worth 6d. yearly; and £6 11s. 4d. assize rents at the same four feasts in equal portions. In the manor there are a market every Monday, 1/3 of which is worth 12d. yearly; a fair every Exaltation of the Cross, 1/3 which is worth 2s. yearly; and view of frankpledge held within a month of Easter and at Michaelmas, a court called ‘Court Baron’ held every three weeks and another court called ‘Pepowdres’ held every day, the 1/3 of these is worth 10s. yearly. The 1/3 ferry is worth £10 yearly.
Thoresway, the advowson of the church as pertaining to the manor of Thoresway, assessed at 24 marks yearly.
Folkingham, the advowson of the church as pertaining to the manor of Folkingham, assessed at 12 marks yearly.
