Regarding lands held by Bertram Monbocher , grandfather, of ‪Henry IV. Bertram the grandson died a minor in ‪Henry VI’s wardship.

Holdings

Owing to the death of Bertram Monbocher [the grandfather] and the minority of Bertram Monbocher , his son,

2/3 manor of Sutton on Trent detailed in 589, came into the hands of ‪Henry IV.

Bertram the son died a minor in ‪Henry V‬ ’s wardship on 27 January 1415. Bertram his son was his next heir, aged 1 week and more at the time of his father’s death. Bertram son of Bertram son of Bertram died a minor in ‪Henry VI’s wardship on 15 June last.

The 2 parts, which remained in the king’s hands after the death of Bertram son of Bertram and by reason of the minority of the latter’s son Bertram, are still in the king’s hands by reason of the death of Bertram son of Bertram son of Bertram. Isabel, lately wife of Robert Herbotell, esquire , is the kinswoman and heir of Bertram son of Bertram son of Bertram as in 586.

John Holman of Ticehurst by force and arms intruded on the king’s possession in the 2 parts and is entered into the property. Last 20 October he felled and carried away 26 oaks growing there, value 40s., preventing the escheator from taking or having other issues from the 2 parts for which he is answerable to the king from 15 June last.
