Owing to the death of Ellen widow of Geoffrey Brokhole , and the death of John son of John Sumpter and Margery his wife, one of the daughters and heirs of this Ellen, John dying a minor in Henry V ’s wardship, the following came into the hands of Henry V and are in those of Henry VI.
He died on 4 July 1420. Christine and Ellen daughters of John Sumpter and Margery his wife, are his sisters and next heirs, aged 15 years and 14 years respectively. John Sumpter survives.
