The previous inquisition before John Copleston, junior , [CIPM XXI, no. 342], found that he held the

to himself and the male heirs of his body by enfeoffment of Richard Courtenay, late bishop of Norwich , and that Philip Courtenay , son and heir of John Courtenay, chevalier , brother and heir of Richard, was William’s kin and next heir, and then in ‪ Henry V’s wardship. He died without male heir of his body.

The same Philip Courtenay is the kin and next heir of Richard Courtenay , and is aged 21 years and more.
