As to in whose hands the barony of Muschamp and castle of Mitford were at the time of the previous inquisition, of whom and in what manner she held various specified third parts and by what grant or grants she held jointly enfeoffed with her husband.

Holdings

At the time of the inquisition held before Thomas Gray of Wark, chevalier , William Whitchestre, chevalier , and Sampson Hardyng by virtue of ‪Henry IV‬ ’s letters patent [CIPM XIX, no. 938],

the barony of Muschamp was in the hands of John, then Lord Darcy, now deceased.
She held in her demesne as of fee 1/3 vill of Hethpool, amongst other things, of him of this barony by knight service.
The castle of Mitford was then in the hands of Elizabeth who was the wife of John Lescrope, chevalier , and now deceased, in right of her inheritance.
The 1/3 husbandland in Molesdon which Elizabeth held in dower by endowment of John de Fenwyk , her husband, of the inheritance of Henry de Fenwyk son and heir of Alan de Fenwyk their son and heir, was then held with the other 2/3 of the same Elizabeth widow of John Lescrope of this castle in socage.
She held the manor of Hartington and the vill of ?’West’ Hartington for life jointly enfeoffed with John de Fenwyk her husband, by grant and enfeoffment of Robert de Fenwyk to John and Elizabeth and the heirs of their bodies, remainder to John’s right heirs, according to Robert’s charter to them shown to the jurors.
